Understand how well your resume works for ATS screening and a specific job

Professional Hub is a browser-based resume checker for PDF and DOCX files. It provides two different reviews: a general ATS compatibility scan and a job-description match. Resume text is parsed on the user's device. The tool explains the checks it performs instead of presenting the score as a hiring guarantee.

What the ATS compatibility scan checks

The ATS scan reviews whether common resume information can be extracted, including contact details, recognizable section headings, dates, readable text, measurable achievements, action-oriented language, repetition, sentence clarity, and skill coverage. It also reports document observations such as estimated page count, file size, font sizing, and bold usage.

An ATS score is a diagnostic estimate, not a certification. Applicant tracking systems differ between employers. A high score cannot guarantee that a resume will be parsed identically by every employer or that the applicant will receive an interview.

What job matching means

Job matching compares the resume with a job description selected by the user. The browser identifies role-relevant phrases, shows supported terms, and highlights possible gaps. Common boilerplate and ordinary words should not be treated as skills. Users must only add a suggested term when it truthfully describes their experience.

The matching percentage measures coverage under this tool's published rules. It is not an employer's score, and Professional Hub is not affiliated with the employers or job platforms whose public listings may be displayed.

Safe resume improvement

The correction workflow is designed to preserve facts. It must not invent employers, qualifications, skills, dates, achievements, or metrics. Suggestions that lack supporting evidence require review. Formatting changes should preserve headings and important visual hierarchy, while optional compaction should avoid silently deleting complete sections.

Privacy and Security

Uploaded resume files are processed locally and are not sent to external servers. If a user asks the app to import a public job URL or search an external job provider, the browser communicates directly with that selected third party.
